A clone interview gone wrong. Who is this mysterious new stranger?
A clone interview gone wrong. Who is this mysterious new stranger?
For those of you who don’t know, or if you just showed up here today after a faulty Google search, I have a casual-vlogging YouTube channel called, “VloginEgan.” You can check out the latest video below, or click here to see them all on my channel!
So I’ve been away from the blog for awhile.
Now that that’s taken care of, here’s what you may have missed:
I started not one, but TWO new YouTube channels while avoiding the blog. One is a short-form non-edited vlog called VlogginEgan, and the other is my NEW MAIN CHANNEL, which is aptly named EganWorks. I have posted many vlogs on VlogginEgan, including some great videos from my vacation in NYC. On EganWorks, I began by working my way back into video-making with a video titled “Ice Breaker.” This buffer video was then followed by the long-awaited, much asked-for sequel to “TIME TRAVEL?!?!,” which I spent a lot of time making, and which I am quite proud of. You can watch “TIME TRAVEL?!?! Part 2″ right on this here blog, under all this text, or through my new YouTube channel, EganWorks, here.
Anywho, I explain most of what I need to explain in my videos, so I won’t bore you with more text. I really hope you enjoy my videos, and enjoy another blog redesign!
-Mike
Well, it finally happened. After a few screw-ups on my end, everything was finally smoothed-out, legal-wise, and my TIME TRAVEL?!?! video has been approved by YouTube for revenue sharing. What this means is that I can make money off of it.
…Yeah, not a whole lot to explain. Oh well. Anyway, I’m really psyched about it, and I hope to continue to epically win with YouTube on my side.
Thanks to everyone for your support!!!

Many of you may be starting to get frustrated with the lack of “TIME TRAVEL PART2″ happening. I would if I were you, too. Anyway, one of the biggest reasons is that I’m preparing to participate in ScriptFrenzy this year. “What’s ScriptFrenzy?”, you ask? Well, you can find out more info at their website HERE, but basically I’m going to be trying to write a 100-page screenplay within the 30 days of April. I’m not sure how whatever I write will turn out, and I’m not even sure I’ll make it, but I know it’s going to take up a lot of time. I will try VERY HARD (that’s what she said) to keep up with videos, but I won’t make any promises (and I’ve already been slacking, sorry about that, more vids to come!). On top of that, one of my friends has asked me to help him out with a movie he wants to make, so I’m not sure how much time that will take up, but I will be pretty involved as a director/editor. So those are a few of the reasons why I haven’t really done anything with the next part of my time travel series yet. I will have more VlogginEgan videos throughout the week, as I am on spring break and consequently have more time to myself. I am going to try to bring you part 2 this week because April is coming fast at the end of this week, and I would like to get it done before I have to start writing a movie. I just want to keep you guys as up to date as possible, and get more involved with the blog so people hopefully start reading it!
Thanks as always for putting up with me!

“I once spent an entire day searching for the pants I was wearing!”
This quote is one of the many things that old man Mike says in my video SPECIAL GUEST!!!. It’s an important quote because the entire video basically grew out of that one quote. This is kind of how I think, in random bursts of funny quotes. Sometimes I just randomly get an idea for something that someone would say that’s really funny, and I write it down. Eventually, I get the idea for the video that the quote fits into perfectly. I think it’s terribly interesting to think and construct things in this way, but I worry sometimes that it isn’t the best. You can’t simply make a video because you thought of a funny quote; you can’t start with some random thing someone says and then build the rest around that one quote. In the end no matter how funny the quote was, the video is going to suck because you made it about one piece of dialog. You can’t make a sandwich without bread; people don’t just get up feeling like eating lettuce and eat only lettuce. It doesn’t work that way. You get up feeling like having a sandwich, and later say, “Hey, this lettuce is really good.” It’s that same way with videos. You need a central idea, a unifying theme under which the story and jokes fall. You make the entire video for the video (not the quote), and later say, “Hey, that quote was really funny, it worked really well.” The reason the SPECIAL GUEST video worked was because I came up with the idea to do an old man character, and then worked the quote in. In a way, finding these ideas is like searching for the pants you’re wearing. You already have the idea, you know that because you thought of the quote, it’s just a matter of reading more into the quote, and finding out in what type of situation it would fit best. Then you just have to put your pants on and write it.

My latest video explores the theories of time travel:
Hey, so I started a new channel on Youtube called VlogginEgan. It can be found at http://youtube.com/vlogginegan (duh)
The most exciting/weird thing about this channel is that I created it six days ago on a whim, because I had the day off of school and wanted to try out some alwayswheezy – type vlogging, and it very surprisingly amassed over 100 subscribers (much more than my main channel) in just those six days. This, to me, is insane. I honestly have no idea why people would want to watch these videos (of me, not WheezyWaiter, he’s hilarious). Seriously, though, I’m very grateful to everyone watching, and now that I know people like to watch them, I feel an obligation to keep making them. Not only do they require no writing, they also do not require any editing, and I can upload them straight from my camera to YouTube without having to keep them on my hard drive first.
In short, a huge thank you to everyone watching my videos! I urge you to check out my latest video on my main channel, which is the first part of a series on time travel, and which I am very proud of!

At least, that’s what I’m going to call this week to mask my stupidity. See, I didn’t make a video this past week.
Grah! What?! You must die!!!
No, I know, I feel horrible about it.
Not as horrible as you’ll feel after I rip off your-
Whoa! Ok, no need to go there! Anyway, I had some stuff come up inopportunely, and before I knew it, I was out of time to make a video.
Face, I was going to say face. Hey, it happens to everyone, man.
I’m glad you could be so understanding, but I hope you viewers of mine hold me to my responsibilities a bit more harshly than that. To make up for it, I will, of course, be making 2 videos this week so as not to cheat you out of your maximum amount of videos, and I may or may not do a live show depending on whether or not you lovely people think I deserve it. It would be fun, I promise!
Will there be cookies??
Umm…virtual cookies, sure.
Sweeeet…
…Yeah, so anyway, let me know when you want to see that happen, and I’ll do it! I could even do a live show during the filming of a video O.o
That would take away the magic of it…
Yeah, but…wait, there’s magic?
…Well no, but you seem down.
Thanks, man. You really care, don’t you?
Just keep making videos and we’ll see that you don’t get eaten by ravens.
…So bottom line, I bit off more than I could chew video-wise last week, and things fell apart. I will be bringing you 2 new videos this week, and you can look forward to a very special something in the future!
Let me know when you want to see a live show and what you want to see during it, and I’ll see you guys soon!

Another weekly video in which I am sick, and direct you to other videos to watch.
